I was rescued from the side of the road by two wonderful women who asked City Dogs Rescue to help me find the pawfect forever home. I dont like to think much about my past, but my rescuers were correct in assuming life wasnt so great before they found me. They were also so surprised to see how unfazed I was by everything, and how good I was while being bathed and examined by the vet. But I know you cant move forward by looking back, and I am so looking forward to having a loving home of my own. Some might call me old, but really, I am just mature and plan to stick around and live the good life I see before me. I may not be a puppy anymore, but I still know how to play with the best of them! And the best part of adopting an older dog like me is that I know when playtime is over, and I easily transition from play to snuggle and cuddle time. If you knew where I had been, you would understand why I just lap up all the attention and affection showered upon me. I just cant get enough. Im a little on the pudgy side, but lets face it: who among us couldnt afford to lose a few pounds? I promise to love you either way, and my spare tire is easily mitigated with a well-balanced diet and regular exercise. Heck, we can go on a diet and exercise plan together if youre in the same boat as me! Adoption fee, home visit, and application required. CDR charges an adoption fee of $350 unless specified. This fee typically includes health care provided before adoption: all age-appropriate rabies, distemper, and bordetella vaccinations, flea and heartworm prevention prior to adoption, spay/neuter procedure, microchip when available, SNAP test for parasites, initial health check vet visit when going from the municipal shelter to City Dogs Rescue, and pre-adoption health care for dogs over the age of 1 year as needed. For puppies under 4 months: The fee is the same but does not include the cost of spaying and neutering.
